Sugar Creek Bible Camp

An outdoor ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Sugar Creek’s ministry focuses on, deepening our relationship with Jesus Christ through summer and year-round camping and retreats for people of all ages and backgrounds.  We believe and confess the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We confess that we are all sinners who have been set free from sin’s power by our crucified and risen Lord, Jesus Christ.  Jesus freely offers the gift of eternal life through God’s infinite love as we are justified by grace through faith.  The Holy Spirit leads and empowers us to live an abundant life of faith, and as we live this faith life we learn directly from God’s Word, our ultimate authority in living our Christian faith.

Lutheran Office of Public Policy - Wisconsin (LOPPW)

The Lutheran Office for Public Policy in Wisconsin (LOPPW) is an advocacy ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and is part of the Service and Justice unit. LOPPW’s ministry is expressed through a partnership of the World Hunger Program and the six ELCA synods with congregations in Wisconsin. LOPPW represents the coordinated witness of the ELCA on issues of public policy advocacy in the state of Wisconsin.

We bring an ELCA presence on statewide legislative issues that are related to LOPPW’s five priorities. In addition to being a public witness on behalf of the ELCA, we help to educate and network ELCA members across the state. LOPPW also works in conjunction with other faith-based and secular advocacy groups in order to maximize impact within our policy priorities.

LOPPW recognizes the diversity of personal opinions held by Lutherans in Wisconsin. Extensive research, a sound Lutheran theological foundation, and careful study all guides the development of advocacy positions so they may be accurately and sensitively interpreted to the Lutheran constituency and society at large.

At Lutheran World Relief, we envision a future where all people, in every corner of the world can live full, dignified lives. Founded by Lutherans in the United States at the end of World War II, grounded in Lutheran theology and building on decades of experience, Lutheran World Relief tackles global poverty by helping people adapt to the challenges that threaten their livelihoods and well-being.

We work with people based on need, regardless of race, religion or nationality and we do not evangelize. We provide aid in emergencies and help families restore their lives. We partner with communities to build and grow rural economies. We break the cycle of poverty, so families and communities can thrive. Our goal is to help people build self‐sufficiency and create new community‐owned approaches to problem‐solving that will last long after our projects end.
