WHAT WE DO
While the synod staff works in a small office building in La Crosse, Wis., most of the ministry of the synod happens outside the building, in our 74 congregations, nursing homes, camps and college campuses. The synod connects people and congregations to resources for ministry. Some of the resources provided through the synod office staff include help for congregations in pastoral transitions, conflict resolution, mission planning, and spiritual and leadership support. The synod also provides the means to work on ministry tasks in ways beyond what one congregation alone is able to do. Together, through synod committees, we attend to global ministries, public advocacy for those who are suffering, disaster relief, and education. Learn more »
